To get closer to many natural treasures, "la Loire à vélo"
scheme is perfect for all cycling enthusiasts. This is an inter-regional
initiative that takes touring cyclists along 150 km (85 miles)
of cycle way in Anjou. (The whole scheme covers 600 km (366
miles) from Nevers to the Atlantic Ocean.) The route is not
very challenging but brings all the pleasures of being beside
the river. When planning your journey, make sure you have up-to-date
information, as work on the cycle route is on-going and signposting
and cycle paths will not all be finished before 2006.
